EVENTS
At High March there are a lot of events and everyone is involved. You dress up and there are fun activities throughout the day.
House Days
There are four houses. They are Shamrock, Daffodil, Thistle and Rose. Everyone is in one of the houses. There are four House days every year when we raise money for the House charities. You dress up in the house colours and play games at break time.
World Book Day
World Book Day is when you choose a character from a book and dress up as one of them. There are plenty of fun things to do and you get a £1.00 book voucher!

SPORTS
At High March we do lots of fun sports and compete against many schools, e.g. netball tournaments and swimming galas.
Swimming
You start swimming in Reception. In Year 4 we learn the butterfly stroke! Lots of girls are very enthusiastic about swimming and are very good.
You will need to wear:
• A High March School swimming hat • A High March School swimming costume • And a free choice of goggles. • And a towel with your name on it
The teachers are Ms Norman, Mrs Baxter, Miss Gilmore and Miss Spittles.

DRAMA
Here at High March we have a wide variety of drama from School plays to Speech & Drama lessons. This school has everything to offer Drama wise.
Productions
Year4andYear6havea wonderful time producing their musicals every year. for exam- ple The Jungle Book (Year 4), Shrek (Year 6), Mary Poppins (Year 4), Oliver (Year 6), Bugsy Malone (Year 6) and many more! Our head of Drama, Mrs Leigh- Barclay, helps produce fantastic performances! The productions that Year 6 do are AMAZING!
Speech and Drama
At High March your Speech & Drama journey can start all the way from Year 1 in Junior House. It continues up to Upper School until you leave High March to go to your Senior School. Mrs Brown (our Year 1, Year 2 & Year 3 Speech & Drama Teacher) and Mrs Leigh-Barclay (Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6Teacher) take us through a series of exams and lessons. Our results are amazing!

TEACHERS
At High March you will meet lots of different teachers. There are separate teachers for each subject. They will help you if you get stuck.
Heads
In High March, there are different heads for each subject. Some of the heads include: Ms Bugnet - Languages, Mrs Ivey - Maths, Miss Green - Wellbeing, Mr Gater- Science. Mrs Gater is the Headmistress.
Teachers and Teaching Assistants
During your lessons, a teaching assistant might come in to help. You can ask them if you need help. Teaching Assistants include: Miss Bucknell, Mrs Izzard, Mrs Hollander, Mrs Hornshaw and Mrs Lambert. At Junior house you will also see: Mrs Aarons, Miss Edge, Miss Mrs Hudson, Mrs Pearce, Mrs Kennett, Miss Patel, Mrs Pitman and Ms Woodward.
Subjects
At High March, the teachers will teach you lots of different subjects. Some of these include: English, Art, Maths, Geography, History, Science, French, Swimming, P4C, P.E and PSHE. You can also learn Latin and Spanish.

CREATIVE WRITING YEAR 4
