At the start of the 2022/3 school year, we were excited to relaunch the former Social Group as the High March Parents’ Association (HMPA). Our aim is to seek to enhance the school community by bringing together children, parents and staff socially. To achieve this, the HMPA organises and promotes a variety of social events, the aim of which is to raise money for chosen charities and the school itself. HMPA supports the strong relationship of parents and the school by liaising closely with all.
Over the last nine months we have sought to provide regular communications to the High March community on our activities, and have held many events including Upper School Discos, a Charity Brunch, a Christmas trip to the Wycombe Pantomime, numerous Cake Sales, the Christmas Grotto and Santa’s Reindeer, a visit to Legoland and the “crowning glory”, namely our Coronation Fete, which was so well attended. To mark the King’s Coronation, every child was given a commemorative bookmark.
These events have raised an amazing £12,000 of which 50% has been donated to the charities MIND and the National Deaf Children’s Society, with the other 50% to be invested in the High March Nursery outdoor areas from which future generations will benefit.
We would like to thank all the parents, teachers and girls who have helped and supported our events: we couldn’t have done it without your support.
We look forward to keeping you regularly updated on the progress of the HMPA over the coming year with our termly newsletters, and of course we hope to welcome new members to the team!
