12On 7th May, thirty-nine excited Year 6 girls got to school at 5.15am %u2013 ready and prepared for 3 jam packed days of fun in France! When we reached Dover, we got on the ferry (it was the first time on the ferry for some of us so we were buzzing%u2026). We arrived in Calais, France, and we were straight off to the boulangerie. Bruno, the baker, spoke only French, which expanded our French vocabulary quite a bit, and we had a fantastic time learning about the boulangerie and its history. As a treat, we had a pain au chocolat, freshly baked. After that, we made our way to Le Ch%u00e2teau d%u2019Ebblinghem, which was our accommodation for the coming days. On the Wednesday, we went to the Chocolaterie and the goat farm. It was a yummy and furry experience! On Thursday, we went to Le Touquet. Jumping up and down with excitement, we made our way to the market and beach, which was a %u2018sandy%u2019 surprise! Each night, we had fun activities planned by NST, including a game called %u2018Passport to the World%u2019, crepe making and archery tag. On the final night, we had a fun French evening which included making the Eiffel tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows, crepe flipping and a quiz on the amazing trip. We can%u2019t forget dressing up in classic French style whilst trying escargots! The next day, Friday, it was time for us to leave, having had an amazing time in France!YEAR 6 TRIP TO FRANCE
