Once upon a time, in a faraway swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he’s handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn’t be complete without a few twists and turns along the way....
Shrek the Musical is a one-of-a-kind, hilarious fairy tale in which curses are reversed, monsters get the girls, donkeys and dragons find love, and princesses are beautiful in all shapes and sizes.
The Year 6 girls worked exceptionally hard to produce a wonderful theatrical experience. Every pupil acted superbly, danced high energy dance numbers and sang to the standard of a professional company! I watched every Year 6 girl take ownership of their own multiple roles in the show and was extremely proud of their Herculean efforts and dedication to make their final show at High March one to remember!
Well done, we are all extremely proud of you! You have certainly proved to be a hard act to follow, and I have enjoyed every moment of working with you all!
